James Donnavon (JD) Howard, age 25 of Owingsville, passed away on April 13, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 6, 1999 in Mount Sterling, Kentucky to James Howard and Paulette Karrick Jamison. JD was a graduate from Bath County High School, where he played soccer with some of his best friends. He loved the game, his teammates and coaches over the years. JD loved to go fishing and hunting. He had a great love for animals, especially his dogs. Playing video games was a favorite of his. JD was an avid sports fan. He loved to watch the Cincinnati Reds and supported Oklahoma University in all sports. He was a kind hearted young man with a good work ethic. JD loved his family and friends, who will miss him dearly but find comfort in knowing he is no longer in pain.
JD is survived by his wife, Cassidy Johnson; his father, James Howard; his mother, Paulette Karrick Jamison (Chris); two stepdaughters, Evermarie Johnson and Emma June Miller; one sister, Karricka Howard; one brother, Ryan (Courtney) Howard; maternal grandmother, Pauline Karrick; paternal grandmother, Sue Howard; two stepsister, Christa Jamison and Rachael Vance; three nieces, Bella Vance, Stella Razor and Charlie Howard; one nephew, Brice Howard; one aunt, Annette (James) Conn; one uncle, Steve (Cindy) Howard; father and mother in law, Roger and Ava Sue Johnson; a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Don Karrick; his paternal grandfather, R.G. Howard and one sister, Angel Howard.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17 from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home.
Funeral service will begin at 5:00 p.m. in the chapel at Richardson Funeral Home with Reverend Lowell Rice, Pastor Timmy Charles and Pastor Shawn Tolle officiating.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Samuel Barker, Tyler Riddell, Lane Easton, Austin Perry, Dawson Walden, Hunter McCarty, Colton Haney, Aaron Conn and George Shimko.
