Ivan Lykins, age 66, of Salt Lick, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends at his home Sunday, January 9, 2022. He was born July 14, 1955 in Frenchburg, Kentucky to the late Curtis Lee Lykins and Oma Gladys Boyd Lykins. Ivan worked as a farmer, carpenter and electrician. Ivan was a member of the Mudlick Church of God. Ivan was a hard worker who was loved by his family and community.
Ivan is survived by his wife, Connie Crouch Lykins; one son, Chad Lykins; one daughter, Crystal Welch; one special daughter in law, Keisha Fielden; two brothers, Larry (Mary) Lykins of Texas; Greg (Shirley) Lykins of Owingsville; three sisters, Lana (Keith) Campbell of Florida, Karen (Ricky) Brown of Fleming County, Cinda (Jeff) Royce of Virginia; four grandsons, Jacob Davis, Draven Lykins, Lucius Lykins, Shiloh Lykins; one granddaughter, Angel Lykins; one great grandson, Zayne Davis and a host of nieces ad nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a niece, Lucy Lykins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 13 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Mudlick Church of God.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Mark Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Upper Salt Lick Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Terry Lykins, Tony Lykins, Vince Crawford, Jason Brown, Justin Oldfield and Jacob Davis.
Honorary pallbearers will be Draven Lykins, Lucius Lykins, Shiloh Lykins, Angel Lykins, Clint Martin and James Murphy.
Masks are encouraged but not required.
