Howard "Ducie" Conlee, age 59 of Owingsville, passed away Sunday, January 23 at St. Joe Hospital in Mount Sterling. He was born on July 30, 1962 in Mount Sterling, Kentucky to the late Howard M. Conlee and Betty Ruth Roberts. Ducie loved to watch drag racing and even helped build some cars. He loved going to horse shows, community events and watching sports. He played football for Bath County Wildcats from 1977 until 1981. Ducie enjoyed welding and loved his two dogs dearly. He loved to talk to others and have a good time. His memory will live on with those he leaves behind.
He is survived by one brother, Kerry Conlee of Owingsville and one nephew, Jordan Conlee of Elizabethtown.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three uncle, Stanley, William and Hugh Henry Conlee; two aunts, Mary Katherine Conlee and Wilma Conlee Jones.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 27 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Richardson Funeral Home with Brother Anthony Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Owingsville Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Vince Howard, Aaron Howard, Mitch Woodard, Steve Butcher, Darren Ovington, and Danny Gray.
