Gladys Morris, age 94, passed away on July 19. She was born on July 18, 1928 in Bath County to the late Sam Roberts and Maggie Manley. Gladys was a member of the Owingsville First Church of God. She loved to attend church and the dinners they would have. Gladys loved to go shopping, travel and cooking. Her favorite place to go was to Las Vegas and casino boats. She was a homemaker that loved to work in her garden and enjoyed canning. Gladys could often be found sitting on the front porch with her friends, gossiping and playing Hi five. Family was important to her and she enjoyed every minute she could spend with her grandchildren. She was a kind, loving woman and will be missed dearly.
She is survived by one daughter, Brenda Ingram and her husband, Steve of Richmond; one son in law, Nicky Crouch; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Morris; one daughter, Nancy Crouch; two brothers, Sam "Bud" Roberts and Earl Ray Roberts; two sisters, Louise Jones and Eula Miller.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 28. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home.
The service will begin at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Richardson Funeral Home with Reverend Lowell Rice officiating.
