Fred Fultz, age 85, of Frenchburg, made heaven his home on November 5. He was born on May 10, 1935 to the late Bruce Fultz and Mary Lou Mullins Fultz. Fred retired from Whirlpool after 22 years and was also employed with the Kentucky State Forestry. He loved to be outside and enjoyed digging for ginseng. He was a Christian man that loved the Lord. He always said he felt close to God while being out in the wilderness. Fred was very humble man and loved to help others. He sponsored many children through the Feed the Children program over the years. He was a tobacco farmer, a little league coach who loved all sports. He also had a great love for ponies and raised many over the years. He will be missed greatly by his family.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Fultz; three sons, Frederick Fultz (Sharlene) of Olympia, Jeffery Fultz (Nancy) of Jeffersonville and Larry Fultz of Salyersville; two daughters, Connie Fultz (Clifford) of Baxter, Tennessee and Tina Jones (Terry) of Lexington; one brother, Frank Fultz of Lafayette, Indiana; one sister, Sally Dawson of Martinsville, Indiana; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Todd Fultz; one brother, Cecil Fultz; two sisters, Lucille Oakley Bearers and Wilma Tackett.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 10 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home.
The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Richardson Funeral Home with Reverend Tim Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in the Bashford Cemetery.
