Estil Bashford Crouch, age 81 of Owingsville, passed away on Sunday, August 11 at St. Claire Hospital in Morehead, Kentucky. She was born on September 11, 1942 in Bath County to the late Jesse Bashford and Bessie Bowles Bashford. Estil was a member of Northside Church of God, where she loved to visit her church family. Her favorite thing to do was to sit outside on the front porch enjoying the weather and watching everyone go by. She enjoyed keeping up with everyone on Facebook and also liked to watch Tik Tok videos. She was always ready to go to yard sales to find a bargain. Estil loved her family dearly and cherished every moment she could spend with them. She was a loving mother and grandmother that will be missed dearly by her family she leaves behind. May they forever carry her memory in their hearts.
She is survived by two sons, Norman Crouch and his wife, Dee Dee; Larry Crouch; two daughters, Mary Butcher; Lynn Routt and her husband, Jeff, all of Owingsville; one daughter in law, Edwina Crouch of Olympia; nine grandchildren, Sherry Butcher, William Keith Crouch, Casey Crouch (Amber), Whitney McCormick (Will), Kelly Routt, Katlyn Crouch, Madison Crouch, Taylor Crouch and Andrew Crouch; ten great grandchildren, Karley Denton, Will Shanks, Tommy Butcher III, Kaylee Butcher, Carter Royce, Memphis Crouch, Bentlee Stapleton, Everly McCormick, Miah and Maddox Gibson; One great great grandchild, Elara Jane Frei; three brothers, Harold Bashford, Steve Bashford and Robert Bashford, all of Owingsville; two sisters, Annie Clark of Sharpsburg and Margaret Bennett of Owingsville; several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Palmer "Jaybird" Crouch; two sons, William Crouch and Nelson Crouch; one grandson, Thomas Ray Butcher Jr.; one son in law, Tommy Butcher; two sisters, Hattie Spence and Carrie Thomas; two brothers, Roy Bashford and Herbert Bashford; a special friend, Donna Jamison.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 15 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home.
Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Richardson Funeral Home with Reverend Lowell Rice and Pastor Kenny Crouch officiating, Burial will follow in Carey Cemetery in Morehead.
Active pallbearers will be Will Shanks, William Keith Crouch, Tommy Butcher III, Andrew Crouch, Phil Copher and Chris Jamison.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kelly Routt, Casey Crouch, Sherry Butcher, Karley Denton, Kaylee Butcher, Whitney McCormick, Katlyn Crouch, Madison Crouch and Taylor Crouch.
