Donnie Ray Hardin, age 42 of Owingsville, passed away on October 4 at his residence. He was born on December 26, 1979 in Rowan County to Mike and Wanda Hardin. Donnie was employed as a fork lift driver at CTI. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Donnie loved to be outdoors and just enjoyed the simple things in life. His family describes him as a jack of all trades. He could do just about anything he set his mind to. Donnie loved his children with his whole heart and always wanted his family to be happy. He loved to make people smile. Donnie was a wonderful dad, son, brother and uncle whom will be dearly missed by those he leaves behind.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by three children, Madison Hardin, Oliver Hardin and Cayson Hardin; one sister, Robin Munday and her husband, Stephen; one brother, John Hardin and his wife, Alexis; one niece, Katelyn Munday; three nephews, Owen Munday, Cobie Hardin and Cannon Hardin; a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charlie and Kaye Hardin and his maternal grandparents, Woodrow and Hazel Frazier.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 6 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 7 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Richardson Funeral Home with Brother Lonnie Meeks officiating. Burial will follow in the Little Slate Cemetery in Hope.
