Donna Meeks

Mrs. Donna Meeks, age 93, passed peacefully at her residence surrounded by her family on Wednesday. She was born in Venango, Pennsylvania on June 28, 1927 to the late Hiram Jackson Neeley and Cora Mae Deets. She was a nurse aide and enjoyed caring for others. Donna enjoyed singing, playing the harmonica, organ and the accordion. She loved to write poems and work puzzles. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She was a very simple lady with a kind, caring heart. She touched many lives and will be dearly missed. 

She is survived by one son, Douglas Meeks and his wife, Teresa; one daughter, Deanna Spillman and her husband, Aaron; one sister, Ruth Hall; one brother, Willis Paul Neeley; fifteen grandchildren, Bethany (Thomas) Morefield, Kayla (Aaron) Spillman, Whitney (Billy) Reffit, Cyndi (Floyd) Purnell, Amber (Shane) Kierstead, Justina Meeks, Jennifer (Thomas) Nieman, Samantha, Megan, Daniel Vanness, Dustin (Olivia) Brawl, Lucas (Shelby) Curtis, Dallas (Natessa) Brawl, Kyle (Tiffany) Denton, Berkley (Anita) Spillman; twenty eight great grandchildren, Raeann Morefield, Lydia Spillman, Lorela Brawl, Hayden Denney, Jayden Denney, Carmen Denney, Berkly Spillman Jr., Kortni Hurst, Kayla Reed, Elijah Spillman, Kenny Spillman, Dakota Spillman, Freedom Cartright, Belva Seagraves, Makenzy Donis, Jayshon, Codey, Rayvon, Jakari, Justin, Colten, Kason, Nola, Jace, Roselyn, Nevaeh, Adrionna, Cameron; ten great great grandchildren, Brody, Zaley, Treyln, Trenton, Reese, Landon, Hope, Chloe, Alexandra and Elena.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard William Meeks; three sisters, Georgia Hogg, Carol Bollirzer, an infant sister; eight brothers, Donald Neeley, William James (Buster) Neeley, Dale Neeley, Elwood Neeley, Allen Neeley, Ron Neeley, Fred Neeley, infant brother.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 8 from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at the Richardson Funeral Home with Reverend Lonnie Meeks officiating. Burial will follow in the Polksville Cemetery. 

COVID 19 restrictions will be followed as set forth by the state.
