Mr. Donald Ray Conley, 72, of Denniston, passed away Monday evening at UK Healthcare in Lexington. He was born on July 24, 1948 in Morgan County, Kentucky to the late Walter Conley and Frozie Smith Conley. Donald was a talented mechanic and enjoyed working on vehicles. He was an outgoing person and never met a stranger. Being outdoors, camping and fishing were his favorite things to do. He stayed busy working around the house and always had a project to do. Donald loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. His presence will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Barker Conley; four sons, Donathan Conley, Nathan Conley, Jimmy Barker, and Jody Conley; five daughters, Nancy Conley, Kenderly Martin, Amanda Conley, Judy Perry and Chassity Conley; four sisters, Catherine Conley, Joyce McCarty, Marie Crouch, and Helen Fogleman; ten grandchildren, Jasmine Barker, Seth Barker, Summer Barker, Brooklyn Barker, Jayden Conley, Bryson Conley, Brayden Reed, Leah Reed, Waylon Reed, and Mason Conley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, James Barker and Gregory Conley; three brothers, Hershel, Ronald and Ronnie Conley; three sisters, Anna Mae White, Ethel Conley and Delores Smart.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 28th from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow in the chapel of the Richardson Funeral Home with Reverend Kenneth Binion officiating. Burial will follow in the Conley Family Cemetery in Denniston, Kentucky.
