David Miller Obituary

David Earl Miller, 67, of Owingsville passed away May 9th 2025 in Lexington, Kentucky after a hard-fought battle with cancer. David was born in Lexington, Kentucky to Joan (Miller) Stone and Charles David Crouch. In his youth, he excelled at sports and was a talented athlete in baseball and football. As a young man, David opened a flooring business and was regionally recognized for skill in his trade for many years. He also followed in his grandfather Earl Miller’s entrepreneurial footsteps with business, real estate, and photography. The pair worked hand-in-hand developing the Miller Shopping Plaza in Owingsville and in bringing many businesses to the area. David earned his license as a drone pilot and enjoyed capturing the nature around him that he loved so dearly, both with traditional photography and aerial imagery. David was well-known for his study of martial arts, earning the highest rank of red belt from the prestigious Sin The Karate School in Lexington, Kentucky. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, hunting, fishing, and researching genealogy. He had many friends but perhaps his favorite was his 20-year-old Chihuahua, Jordan, who never left his side. David is survived by his father, Charles David Crouch of Mud Lick; his mother Joan (Philip) Stone of Louisville;his daughter Laurie Miller of Mt. Sterling; daughter Elizabeth Miller Snedeker (Justin Lawson) of Jeffersonville; his brother Quinn (Joyce) Stone of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; his brother Tommy Stone of Louisville; Melissa (Jim) Cook of York, Pennsylvania; his sister Jennifer (Shannon) Back of The Villages, Florida; Tammy Woodard of Panama City Beach, Florida; Sarah (Zachary) Sexton of Hope; grandchildren Abigail Miller, Sawyer Snedeker, November Snedeker, and Scotlyn Lawson; his maternal aunt, Paul Wyatt of Selma, Alabama; his significant other Ashley Fulton and bonus son Cameron Hylton; and several nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Stone; his maternal grandparents, Earl and Marjorie (Pergrem) Miller; and his paternal grandparents, Charles and Victoria Loretta (McGlothin) Crouch.
