Charlene Boyd Clemons, 78, of Sharpsburg, Kentucky, daughter of Willie Lee and Leonard Taul Boyd (Momma Leonard) passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at Kings Daughter Hospital in Ashland, Kentucky.
Charlene was a life long resident of Sharpsburg, Kentucky, marrying and raising her family there. She married her husband, Robert Louis at the age of 18, and this August would have been their 60th wedding anniversary. She was a devoted wife.
She went to work not long after marriage at Bluegrass Industries, which was later known as Jockey until it closed down. Then she went back to school taking classes in clerical and secretarial work. She ended her work history at the Unemployment office in Mt. Sterling, KY. Whatever she did she gave it her all.
Charlene loved God and family with all of her being. She got baptized at an early age at Greater First Baptist Church working in Pastor's Aide Society, Missionary Society, and singing in several of the choirs. Whatever she was asked to do she would do it. She loved to sing and give praises to God. Charlene was always there for her family, whether it was her children, grandchildren, or great grand children helping to raise them along with her husband. She loved them endlessly. Whatever they needed she would try to provide for them.
Charlene leaves to cherish her memory and is survived by her loving husband, Robert Louis Clemons of Sharpsburg, KY; one sister, Betty Ann Boyd of Owingsville, KY; her daughter, Tracye (Johnny) Botts of Owingsville, KY; her son, Gregory (Martina) Clemons of Louisville, KY; her grandchildren, Adam Clemons (whom she raised from 3 months old), Breana (Charles) Oliver, of Paris , KY; Blandon (Greta) Clemons of Washington, Iowa; LaToya (Matthew) Warner of Lexington, KY; Justis Jarman of Los Angeles, California; Jordan and Jadon Clemons of Louisville, KY; Mastor Botts of Mt.
