Brooklyn Nicole Townsend

Brooklyn Nicole Townsend, age 19, of Sharpsburg, passed away Sunday from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born on March 24, 2002 in Mount Sterling, Kentucky to Eric Townsend and Mary Rachel Crouch Townsend.  She was a 2020 graduate of Bath County High School and enjoyed playing soccer and participating in the band. Brooklyn loved to be outdoors and enjoyed fishing. She enjoyed watching tv, baking chocolate chip cookies and Disney movies. The Lion King was her favorite of all. Brooklyn loved animals and being at the beach. She was fun loving, kind hearted and could be a little shy until she became comfortable with you. Her smile and laughter could warm your heart. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. She made a huge impact on a lot of lives in her short time here on earth. May her memory live on forever.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by four brothers, Eric Townsend Jr., Hayden Townsend, Dawson Walden and David Walden; three sisters, Autumn Townsend, Lexis Walden and Mikayla Walden; paternal grandparents, Betty and David Leach; maternal grandparents, Barbara and John Crouch

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Phillip and Portia Townsend.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 19 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Reverend Kenny Crouch and Reverend Jim Crouch officiating. Burial will follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery.
