Billy Gordon "Famous" Wells, 64, passed away suddenly in his home on Wednesday February 13, 2019. He was born June 25, 1954 to the late Billy Barnes Wells and Olive Griffey Wells. He was a member of the Baptist faith and a passionate musician. He loved playing the guitar and singing and wrote many of his own songs. During his lifetime he worked many different places such as Rockwell International, AO Smith, IBM and Fasig Tipton. He was somewhat of an adventurer having spent time in Florida as an electrician and taxi driving on Virginia Beach.
He is survived by a son Bryant Gordon Wells and daughter Marisa Wells, both of Mt. Sterling; three brothers Phillip Wayne (Barbara) Wells, Ricky Barnes (Kaye) Wells, and Randy Clark Wells all of Owingsville; two sisters Sandra Lynn (Donald) Denton and Barbara Wells Bowman all of Winchester; four grandchildren James Wells, Cameron Howard, Sasha Watkins, and Conner Watkins; several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brother Ralph Wells and Terry Wells.
Visitation will be held Sunday February 17 from 12 - 2:00 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home.
Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m.
