Billy Ray Barnes, age 71 of Menifee County, passed away on January 9, 2022. He was born on August 11, 1950 in Mount Sterling, Kentucky to the late Clay Barnes and Lucy Whiteman. Billy was a hard worker. He drove a wrecker for Oliphant's Towing Service for many years. He was a loving father and had an outgoing personality. Billy could make friends wherever he went. He loved to go fishing, hunting and enjoyed car races. His family and friends will miss him so much but will never forget the good times they had.
Billy Ray is survived by two sons, Jeremy Barnes and his wife, Tina; Billy Shane Barnes; one daughter, Tina Howell and her husband, Donnie; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; his fiance, Debbie Gilley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, David, Lesslie and Buddy Barnes; one sister, Delores Barnes.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 14 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel at the Richardson Funeral Home with Brother Scottie Blankenship and Brother Kelly Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in the Lovely Cemetery in Jeffersonville.
