Betty Vance Cline Belcher, age 87, of Owingsville passed away Thursday December 25, 2025 at UK St. Claire in Morehead, KY. Betty was born June 4, 1938 to the late Clark and Mosseletta Vance. She was married to the late Ora Francis Belcher. Betty attended the Salt Lick Freewell Baptist Church for 40 years, was a member of Jaycees, and was a co-manager of Vance’s Pay Lake. She participated in building many May Day floats over the years. In her free time, Betty loved to garden and can vegetables, cooking big delicious meals. She enjoyed watching westerns, reading, playing card games, and completing word searches.
Betty is survived by 2 sons, Randy (Cindy) Cline, Phillip (Cathy Richardson) Cline, 5 step-sons, Danny Belcher, Chuck Belcher, Wayne Belcher, Tony Belcher, and Joe Belcher, 2 step-daughters, Cora Belcher and Shirley Belcher Lewis, 6 grandchildren, Derek (Rachel) Cline, Julie Cline, Austin (Brytni) McKenzie, Ashton McKenzie, Ginny (Steven Purvis) Clark, and Paul (Elizabeth) Richardson, and 5 great-grandchildren, Mason Cline, Carson Cline, Audrey Clark, Lucian Clark, and Summerlee Clark.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ora Francis Belcher, her 5 brothers, Herman Vance, Woodford Vance, Ledford Vance, Wheeler Vance, and Crit Vance, her 4 sisters, Alva Staton, Dewey McGlothin, Inez Otis, and Ola Dieringer, and one grandchild, David McKenzie.
Friends may visit Tuesday December 30, 2025 at the Salt Lick Freewell Baptist Church from 6p.m.-8 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday December 31, 2025 at the Salt Lick Freewell Baptist Church starting at 1p.m. with Reverend Andy Lands and Reverend Tony Belcher presiding.
Burial will follow at the Vance Cemetery in Ore Mines, KY.
