B.R. Doran, age 79, passed away on February 26, 2020 at St. Claire Hospital. He was born on July 1, 1940 to the late OG Doran and Mary Byrne Doran. He was a trooper with the Kentucky State Police for 22 years. He loved to participate in the Trooper Island program that sponsored children for summer camp each year. He loved to fish and play golf. B.R. also enjoyed farming and camping. Driving his two granddaughters to school and different activities was also something that he loved to do. He loved his family and spending time with them. He was a kind hearted man with a fun loving personality. He will be missed but will forever live on in the hearts of his family.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Carolyn Rogers Doran; One son, Matthew Howard Doran; Two daughters, Beth Doran Foltz and Stacey Doran Richardson; Two granddaughters, Caroline RIchardson and Emily Given; Two great grandsons, Alex and Andy Given.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Mark Richard Doran.
Visitation will be Sunday March 1 from 1-3 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 p.m. with burial in the Kendall Springs Cemetery.
Reverend Lowell Rice will be officiating.
