Annie Elizabeth (Doggett) Young

Annie Elizabeth Young, age 79, passed away on August 17 at the University of KY Chandler Medical Center in Lexington. She was born on February 22, 1941 in Bath County to the late Dee Doggett and Connie Woodard Doggett. Annie was a homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her world revolved around her grandchildren and great grandson. She was a member of the Grace Gospel Tabernacle Church. Annie loved her family and spending time with them. She was a kind, caring woman and will be missed so dearly by those she leaves behind. Annie has made heaven her home but will live on in the memories and hearts of those that love her. 

She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Blaine Young; one son, Patrick (Kelly) Young; one daughter, Becky (John) Black; one sister, Eldiva Horseman; two granddaughters, Kamryn Black and Kristin (Jacob) Harris; one great grandson, Leo Harris; several nieces and nephews also survive. 

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Dee Doggett Jr., Eugene Doggett and David Doggett

Visitation will be held on Friday August 21 from 6-8 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday August, 22nd at 10:00 a.m. with the Reverend Steve Meadows officiating. Burial will follow in the Longview Cemetery at Bethel.
