Anna Stapleton, age 88, of Owingsville, KY, passed away on Tuesday November 04, 2025 at Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, KY. She was born September 24, 1937 in Bath County, to the late James and Artie Whittington. Anna was married to the late Edward Stapleton. All her life, Anna worked in a sewing factory and on the farm. Anna loved to cook and can vegetables. She is known by her family and loved ones as baking the best brownies ever.
She is survived by 2 sons, Harvey (Vickie) Stapleton of Owingsville and John Stapleton of Owingsville, 1 daughter Gail (Robert) Meadows of Mount Sterling, 2 special nieces, Connie Sue Willoughby and Darlene Tolliver, and several other nieces and nephews. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Tiffany Stapleton, Mason (Brooke) Harris, Harvey Lee Stapleton, and Dalton Barnett, 5 great-grandchildren, Gavin McCarty, Parker Segura, Whren Segura, Eliza Wells, and Rex Wells, and her 3 fur babies; Reesie, Rocky, and Max.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Stapleton, her brother, William Whittington, and her sister, Mildred Webb.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 06, 2025 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 07, 2025 starting 11 a.m. at Richardson Funeral Home with Brother Randall Jackson officiating.
Burial will follow at the Whittington/Stapleton Family Cemetery in Owingsville, KY.
