Andrea (Joy) Rogers

Andrea Joy Rogers, age 35, passed away suddenly on April 29 at St. Joseph Hospital in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. She was born February 26, 1988 in Wabash, Indiana to Henry Joy Jr. and Lisa Gose Joy. 

Andrea loved reading, camping and spending time with her family. Family gatherings were something she looked forward to. She was a planner and loved to organize every detail. Andrea was a sports mom. She loved to watch her children play and would participate as much as she could. Running the children from place to place was a joy for her. She loved every minute of it. Andrea also loved to cook and try new recipes. The desserts seemed to be a favorite at family dinners. Her laugh was contagious and she loved to make people smile with her funny faces. She was the perfect wife, loving mother, daughter and friend. Her presence, love and laughter will be missed dearly by all that she leaves behind. May her husband, children and family always remember how much she loved them. 

She is survived by her loving husband of 16 years, Matt Rogers; two sons, Hayden and Dalton Rogers; one daughter, Natalia Rogers; her parents, Henry Joy Jr. and Lisa Gose Joy; two sisters, Breanna Miller and Caitlan Joy; father and mother in law, Tim and Kim Blankenship; two sisters in law, Brittney Shepherd and Krista Blankenship; paternal grandmother, Roberta Joy; maternal grandmother, Karelia Donahue; several nephews.

Andrea was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Elza Gose. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 4 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home.

Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at Richardson Funeral Home with Reverend Sean Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Virginia Cemetery.
