Mr. Alvin Jones, age 62, of Jeffersonville, passed away Friday September 17, 2021 at Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester. He was born the son of the late Paul Jones and Ann Ingram Jones on April 5, 1959 in Montgomery County. Alvin was a person that was loved by all. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. Playing jokes and picking at others was something he was known for. He loved to play horseshoes and was a good cook. Spending time with his family and grandchildren was something he treasured. His fun loving personality and kind heart will be missed so much by his family and friends that he leaves behind.
He is survived by his wife, Vickie Jones; two daughters, Amber Munday and her husband, Ryan; Kristin Hurt and her husband, Carl; three sisters, Norma Dalton and her husband, Mike; Pauline Kesler and her husband, Chuck; Wilma Stephens and her husband, Don; three grandchildren, Presley Munday, Cayson Hurt and Garren Hurt.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Jones.
Visitation will be Monday, September 20 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel with Reverend Mark Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Upper Salt Lick Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Ryan Munday, Carl Hurt, Calvin Hurt, Harold Copher, Garry Jackson and Samuel Purvis.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny Purvis, Mike Dalton, Howard Clemons, Terry Cassidy and Gerald Spratt.
