Albert Braxton "A.B." Jones, age 87, passed away July 23 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center following a massive stroke. He was born August 15, 1930 to the late Albert Braxton Jones Sr. and Mary Bell Jones. He was a lifelong resident of Bath County, a farmer and landowner as well as a lifetime member of the White Oak Christian Church.
He is survived by one niece, Kaye Jones Templin and husband Matt of Owingsville; One great nephew, John Ratliff of Owingsville; Two great nieces, Holly and Amy Ratliff of Lexington; Three great great nieces, Abby, Emma and Izzy Ratliff of Cynthiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Braxton Jones Sr. and Mary Bell Jones; Three siblings, all of Owingsville, Frank Thomas Jones, Virgaline Jones Lewis and Carroll Jones.
Services will be at the Richardson Funeral Home in Owingsville on Saturday July 28. Visitation will be from 11-1 with funeral services at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Owingsville Cemetery.
