Violet Johnson, age 74 of Owingsville, passed away October 31, 2019 at St. Joseph Hospital in Mt. Sterling. She was born on January 10, 1945 in Bath County to the late Bruce Cassity and Marie Purvis Cassity. She was a seamstress and a homemaker. She loved her dogs and was a huge Elvis fan. She enjoyed yard sales and going to flea markets. Violet also loved to shop and buy clothes. She is described as a very classy lady that had a unique style about her. She was a kind hearted woman that loved her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. The time she spent with them was precious to her. She was loved by all that knew her and will be missed.
She is survived by one son, Bobby (Debbie) Johnson of Owingsville; Two daughters, Tonya Conkwright of Owingsville; Catherine (Ivan) Hedges of Owingsville; One sister, Linda Swanson of Winchester; Eight grandchildren, Jamie Johnson, Justin Johnson, Rachel Price, Hope Iverson, Audisty Coons, Shelby Hedges, Billy Hedges and Aaron Gabbard; Several great grandchildren also survive.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Robert "Bob" Johnson; Her parents, Bruce Cassity and Marie Purvis Cassity; One sister, Janis C. Tracey; One brother, Walter Clayton Cassity
Visitation will be Monday November 4 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Johnson Family Cemetery.
Reverend Jamie "Moose" Stump will be officiating.
