Vada Mae Goodpaster, age 100, made heaven her home on Saturday December 14, 2019. She was born in Bath County on August 6, 1919 to the late Johnny C. Goodpaster and Effie Sutton Goodpaster. She was a homemaker and a farmer. Vada was of the Christian faith and loved her family. Spending time with them was so special to her. She enjoyed cooking, quilting and just living a simple life. She will be missed by her family that she leaves behind but they find peace in knowing that she is in a better place.
She is survived by one son, Roger Goodpaster and his wife, Lavenna of Owingsville; Two grandchildren, David Wayne Lee of Salt Lick and Angela Goodpaster Barnes of Owingsville; Two great grandchildren, Andrew Barnes and Jonah Barnes of Owingsville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny C. and Effie Sutton Goodpaster; One daughter, Linda Mullins; One brother, James Goodpaster; Two sisters, Allie Curtis and Inez Goodpaster.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 17 from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 17 at 2:00 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home with burial following in the Hedricks Cemetery.
