Robert Clark Barrett, age 78, passed away on Sunday, December 8. He was born on November 6, 1941 in Bath County to the late Mose Barrett and Callie Robinson Barrett. Clark was a well known contractor salesman across Eastern Kentucky for Wick's Lumber for 33 years. After Wick's closed, he went to work for Lowe's where he worked for 11 years. During his life, he was a disc jockey, had a radio show for WEKG out of Jackson, KY and also was an emcee for Ralph Stanley. Clark had a love for Bluegrass music. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Bath Lodge 55. Clark was a man of Christian faith that loved his wife, his children and his grandchildren. Family was everything to him and he was so proud of them all. Spending time with family was something that he enjoyed. He will truly be missed by each one of them and all that he came in contact with during his precious time here on earth. His memory will live on through the family and friends that he leaves behind.
He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Barrett of Owingsville; One son, Wesley Clark Barrett and his wife, Stacey of Owingsville; One daughter, Crystal Barrett of Winchester; Two brothers, Mose Barrett of California, KY and Willis Barrett of Alexandria, KY; Four grandchildren, Stone Clark Barrett, Ashtyn Bailey Barrett, Aaliyah Daniel and Pierce Daniel
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mose Barrett and Callie Robinson Barrett; Four brothers, Doug, Tom, Ed, and James Barrett; One sister, Alma Jean Fetick.
Visitation will be Wednesday December 11 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be Thursday December 12 at 11:00 a.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home with burial following in the Owingsville Cemetery.
Reverend Lowell Rice will be officiating.
