Quincey Xavier "Q" Johnson, age 25, passed away suddenly on February 13. He was a Sharpsburg native, born on October 30, 1993 in Mount Sterling to Chad Johnson and Sheena Jones Johnson. "Q" loved music, loved to sing and perform. He was a state champion in track on a relay team. He ran cross country and loved wrestling. He was also a member of Black Men Working (BMW) during high school. He was an avid UK fan and enjoyed watching the Wildcats play. He was a Kansas City Chiefs fan as well. Quincey loved to laugh, have fun and make people happy. He had a smile that was unforgettable. He loved everyone and had a big, giving heart. If he had it and you needed it, he was there for you. Quincy had a fun personality, a loving heart and a kind spirit. He will be missed greatly by all that knew and loved him. "Q" will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
He is survived by his parents, Chad Johnson and Sheena Jones Johnson; his surrogate parents, Shawn and Stacie Mitchell; Three brothers, O'Shay Bennett, Shakur Bennett and Kiodai "Kiki" Martin; Six sisters, Vanessa Johnson, Venna Martin, Mahala Johnson, Sheena "Leanne" Martin, Naveah "Nay Nay" Johnson, Emali Martin; Several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be Thursday February 21 from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Greater First Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Friday February 22 at 1:00 p.m. at the Greater First Baptist Church with burial following in Longview Cemetery.
Reverend Gary Boyd will be officiating.
