Marie Short

Marie Short, age 76, of Owingsville, passed away Friday November 29, 2019. She was born on November 3, 1943 to the late Carl Edward Short and Lula Ellen Ferguson. She loved people and never met a stranger. She could start up a conversation with anyone. She had a very outgoing personality and a loving, kind heart. Marie loved to watch westerns and soap operas. She loved her family and her nieces and nephews as they were her own children. Holiday get togethers were her favorites. She loved to see everyone together and be able to visit. She enjoyed the workers and residents at Ridgeway Nursing Home during the time she spent there.  She will be missed so much by her family and friends that loved her dearly. 

She is survived by three sisters, Wilma (Gail) Holbrook, Ina Short and Imiajean Blevins all of Bath County; Three brothers, Howard Short of Yuma, Arizona, Russell Short of Bath County and Marvin Short of Ohio; Several nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents; Four brothers, Leroy, William, Daniel and Ray Short.

Visitation will be Tuesday December 3 from 11-1 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday December 3 at 1 p.m. with burial following in the Ingram Cemetery.

Reverend Gary Boyd will be officiating.
