M. Catherine Jones

M. Catherine Jones, age 88, made heaven her home on June 27, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born July 7, 1930 in Winchester to the late Sam Shrout and Emily Collins Shrout. She was a fun loving person with a big heart. She loved to attend October court days, yard sales and go to flea markets. Catherine loved to eat at Cracker Barrell and enjoyed being around people. She also enjoyed being outdoors. She loved to joke around and tell stories about her younger days. She will be missed so much by those that knew and loved her. They will forever cherish the memories they have of this wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt and friend.

She is survived by a loving daughter, Beverly Reiman (Joseph) of Arizona; One brother in law Gilbert Brooks Jones of Mt. Sterling; One sister, Wilma Jackson of Owingsville; One grandson, Ryan Allen Jones of Florida; One sister in law, Hazel Jones of Mt. Sterling; Two nieces, Ann Wheeler and Cathy Mattingly; One nephew, David Jones

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Emily Shrout; Her husband, Allie Jones; One son, Allie W. Jones; Two brothers, Avery Shrout and Charles Shrout.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, July 2 at 1:00 p.m. at Machpelah Cemetery in Mt. Sterling. 

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to the Bath County Humane Society.
