Kenneth C. Cassidy, age 96 of Owingsville, passed away January 10, 2019. He was born in Bath County on April 5, 1922 to the late Buford Cassidy and Florence Pergrem Cassidy. Kenneth was a farmer and also did some construction work. He could be described as a hardworker that everyone admired. He enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing and reading. He also enjoyed target shooting. He was a member of the NRA and also of the KY Corp of Long Rifles Association. He will be greatly missed by the family and friends that are left behind.
He is survived by six nephews, Rex Cassidy, Mike Cassidy, Carl Cassidy, Ralph Cassidy, Larry Cassidy and Donnie Cassidy; Two nieces, Bonnie McCormick and Jodi Cassidy; Two stepdaughters, Sandy Lake (Algin) of Berea and Martha Ann Estes of Winchester.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Birdie Cassidy; Three brothers, Woodford Cassidy, Roscoe Cassidy and William Cassidy; One niece, Mona Cassidy; Three nephews, Billy Cassidy, Bob Cassidy and Glen Cassidy.
Visitation will be Sunday 6-8 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. with burial following at the Owingsville Cemetery.
Reverend Charles McGuire will be officiating.
