Donnie "Peagravy" Pergrem, age 60, passed away Tuesday, January 15. He was born in Bath County to the late Charles David Pergrem Sr. and Ruby Martin Pergrem on November 30, 1958. He was a 12 year employee of Swartz Enterprise. He was a dedicated, dependable and hard working employee. He was a huge Bath County Sports Fan and also loved UK basketball. He liked to coon hunt when he was younger. The thing that most remember about him is his personality and sense of humor. He never met a stranger and was liked by all that knew him. He loved to make people laugh and would always put a smile on your face. He is described as the funniest person you'll ever meet. He will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him.
He is survived by two sisters, Patty Pergrem Purvis (Johnny) of Sharpsburg and Jo Ann Smith of Winchester; Three nephews, Michael Snedegar of Sharpsburg, Charles Snedegar (Allison) of Winchester and Taylor Trimble of Lexington; Three nieces, Michelle Trimble Crouch of Winchester, Kimberly Willoughby Haire of Carlisle and Melissa Pergrem Boggs of Mt. Sterling; Several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; One brother, Charles David Pergrem Jr.; One brother in law, Jay Smith; One nephew, John Snedegar.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 17 from 6-8 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held Friday January 18 at 1:00 p.m. with burial following in the Crown Hill Cemetery.
