Alice Reynolds Snedegar, age 90, of Owingsville , entered into her heavenly home on Sunday August 5, 2018. She was born on September 15, 1927 in Bath County to the late Carl and Nannie Lee Pieratt Reynolds. She was retired from A.O.Smith and Southern States, a former MSU employee, drove the bus for the Senior Citizens and was also a cook for the Bath County School System. She loved her community and serving others. She was a member of the Owingsville First Church of God for 40 years, where she was named Mother of the Year in 1997. She loved to attend church and only missed when she was too ill to make it. She attended the Camargo Church of God before coming to Owingsville. She was a strong woman of faith and an inspiration to all. She will be greatly missed by her loved ones and her church family.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, One son, Gary (Patty) Butcher of Owingsville and one daughter, Debbie (Steve) Easterling of Frenchburg. She also had 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Snedegar; her parents, Carl and Nannie Lee Pieratt Reynolds; One daughter, Susan Peyton; Two brothers, Roger Reynolds and Lacy Reynolds; Two sisters, Mildred Shields and Lillian Downing and one granddaughter, Rebecca Waller.
Visitation will be Wednesday August 8 from 5-8 p.m. at the Owingsville First Church of God.
Funeral Services will be Thursday August 9 at 11:00 a.m. at the Owingsville First Church of God. Burial will follow at the Owingsville Cemetery.
Reverend Lowell Rice will be officiating.
