Adrian Dorsey Hatton

Adrian Dorsey Hatton, passed away Sunday October 8, 2017. He was born November 24, 1924 to the late Sherman and Mary Jane Hatton in Bath County.

Adrian served our country twice, once in the army during WWII and then again in the Air Force during the Korean War. During which time he received numerous honors for his bravery and performance on the field.

He married the love of his life, Helen Sexton Hatton December 31st 1955 and enjoyed 50 very blessed and happy years of marriage until her death May 20, 2006.

He was a crane operator at General Motors in Muncy IN.  where he served over 20 years before retiring and returning home to Kentucky in 1983. Adrian was an avid outdoors man enjoying hunting, training and working with hunting dogs, as well as fishing.

He will remembered by those who loved him as a fun loving, happy person that loved to make people laugh.

Besides his parents and wife, Adrian is proceeded in death by one step-daughter, Robin Gail Young; 4 brothers ; Brooks, Delbert, Roger, and Lonnie Hatton; as well as three sisters; Virgaleen Ginter, Gladys Hovermale, and Violet Cline.

Survivors include: Son-in-law, Terry Young. Three grandchildren; Melanie Erwin (Chris), Amy Swartz (Cameron) and Terry Alan Young. Four great Grandchildren: Justin Young, John Paul Erwin, Brandi Roberts (Zach) and Bailey Gail Swartz. One great-great grandchild: Zoe Roberts.

 Services will be held at Richardson’s funeral home Wednesday Oct 11, 2017 with visitation 12-2 and funeral service following immediately afterwards. Interment: Shrout Cemetery.
