Steven Roy Sands

Steven Roy Sands, 58, passed away at his residence Monday September 19, 2016 after a short illness. He was born March 13, 1958 to the late Frank L. and Judy Sands in Dayton, Kentucky. He was a Veteran of the Army, a lover of a variety of music including 70’s and 80’s rock and roll and Bluegrass. He enjoyed playing guitar, and getting together with family and friends who described him as a practical joker.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother James Franklin Sands and 1 great- niece Kallissa Thomas.

Survivors include three brothers Raymond Sands (Robin) of Marysville, Ohio, Gary Sands of Owingsville, and Mark Sands of Menifee Co.; three sisters Sheila Conner, Tamela Thomas, and Diana (Robert) Becker all of Owingsville; several nieces and nephews also survive. 

Memorial Services will be held 6 p.m. Wednesday with the Reverend Gary Boyd officiating. Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday before the service.
