Shane Donavan Day

Shane Donavan Day, 23, passed away Saturday July 30, 2016. He was the son of Shane and Misty Day both of Owingsville and was preparing for his wedding this coming Saturday to fiance Elizabeth Miracle. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator for the Walker Company. He was also an avid fisherman and hunter and was proud to be an Eagle Scout and a member of the Licking River Outdoorsmen. In addition to his parents and his fiance he is survived by one brother James Raylan Garrett of Owingsville; one sister Savannah Day of Owingsville; maternal grandparents Cindy Hornsby of Harlan, Ky and Michael and Kathy Lay of Cumberland, Ky; maternal great-grandmother Emma Murphy of Harlan, Ky; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Chiles Day; maternal grandfather Tim Hornsby and his best friend Jonathan Riddell.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday August 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Richardson Funeral Home with the Reverend John Kohr officiating.

Friends may call Tuesday evening from 4-8 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home.
