John Greenville Roberts

John Greenville Roberts, 53, passed away early Sunday morning in Cynthiana, Kentucky. John grew up in Bath County, Kentucky. He lived with his grandparents, Edwin and Rena Clark, first in Ore Mines and then in Owingsville. He moved to Lexington as a teen to live with his parents, J.R. and Carol Ritchie. 
J.R. taught him the electrical trade, and John pursued that line of work as his vocation.
He is survived by one brother, James Ritchie (Yuhong Chen), from Browns Summit, North Carolina, and one sister, April Ritchie (Mark Shores), of Cincinnati, Ohio. He is also survived by three nieces Rena Ritchie, Iris Ritchie, and Lily Zhuge.
He was preceded in death by his parents J.R. and Carol Ritchie. 
John enjoyed the outdoors, including fishing and boating. He loved being in the company of his friends, especially on a warm summer day. He was devoted to his cat, Simon. He loved to watch football, especially the Miami Dolphins. He was also a fan of Kentucky Wildcats basketball. 
John was baptized at the East End Church of Christ in Lexington, KY.
